PP Edge Banding (Polypropylene)

PP is a semi-crystalline, chlorine free plastic, offering an alternative to the already proven ABS and PVC materials, of today’s edge banding industry.

The main advantage of PP is that it can be easily disposed of as there is no need for time-consuming sorting or separation of edge bands from boards. These items can safely be incinerated together in authorised plants.

When considering the use of PP the optimisation of machine settings must be taken into consideration. 

PP is suitable for straight panel processing as well as internal and external radii, offering almost unlimited application ability.

PP is widely used throughout the furniture industry. It is also ideal for use on laboratory furniture because of its excellent resistance to solvents.
